Impressive Visvesvaraya
Technological University, Regional Centre, Gulbarga.
During the recent visit of the Senate Committee,
RGUHS to Visvesvarya Technological University, Regional Centre, Gulbarga, we
were amazed to note the earnestness of Prof Baswaraj Gadgay, Special Officer
& PG-Cordinator, who happens to officiate as Director too.
Though I had visited the CET counseling of my
daughter at VTU Regional Centre, the full scale Campus activity wasn’t obvious.
Presently, the VTU Regional Centre is educational
hub for PG in Engineering & Management courses. Students have hostel
facilities for both boys & girls. The academic atmosphere is supported by
upcoming State of the Art Library & fully equipped Audio Visual Seminar
Hall (Image below).
The landscape of the campus is very impressive. It
houses a myriad water fountain that reminds us of the Brindavan Garden, Mysore.
It is being upgraded to Musical Fountain, which could be a destination for
citizens of Gulbarga.
The enthusiastic Special Officer, Prof Baswaraj
Gadgay was looking for collaborative academic interactions with Medical
Science, Central University and other established colleges of this region. He
was forthcoming in developing the VTU Regional centre as an academic hub by
having Academic Seminars & CMEs conducted there.
The whole package of the Regional Centre was a
revelation to me, hence I thought of sharing the same with you all.
